Youth/Junior Bands

postcard

Do you play a brass instrument? Are you aged between 9 and 16? Do you want to play in a brass band?

The band's Youth Band offers young brass players an opportunity to play in a brass band. And our Junior Band, for players who haven't been playing so long, is a feeder band to the Youth Band.

The Youth and Junior Bands play in concerts alongside the senior band, and sometimes there is also the opportunity for the bands to play together.

We also organise occasional fun events outwith the band, such as ten-pin bowling.

We always welcome new players. So if you already play a brass instrument to any level why not come along? Players of cornet, trumpet, tenor horn, baritone, euphonium, trombone, tuba and percussion are most welcome.

Or if you don't play an instrument already, but would like to start learning, you would be welcome too (subject to a place being available on our learner programme).

Just get in touch with David Peat using the details on the Contact page. Rehearsals take place in King's Park Parish Church on Tuesday nights from 6:45pm to 7:45pm.

The Junior Band is supported by Creative Scotland through the Youth Music Initiative.
